Biography
A lifelong resident of western Canada I was born and raised in Saskatchwan. In
1969 I moved to Calgary to complete my post secondary education and spent the
next 35 years working in the field of Information Technology. In 1992 I relocated
to the small town of Bragg Creek just west of Calgary in the foothills of the
Canadian Rockies. While I used a camera for many years it was in the spring of
2002 that I seriously took up a camera and began my journey into the world of
photography. I enrolled in the Photography Certificate Program at SAIT
Polytechnique in the fall of 2002 and completed my certificate in photography in
the spring of 2004. I am currently completing my certificate in visual design from
the University of Calgary. I shoot mainly digital and use my digital darkroom for
post processing however I continue to maintain a wet darkroom for traditional
black and white work using my medium format camera. My work has been shown
at the University of Calgary and in the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase.
