Fine Art Giclee Prints
Giclee (jhee-clay) is a French word. It is a term used to refer to a unique reproduction technology. A Giclee print is created by using a high quality professional ink jet printer utilizing pigment based ink combined with archival quality acid free Museum quality papers or canvas. The Giclee process is widely recognized as the highest quality reproduction method in the world today.
A Giclee print offers a high resistance to UV light. The Epson UltraChrome K3 ink I utilize has improved print permanence characteristics that provide lightfastness ratings of up to 108 years for color and over 200 years for black and white under rigorous industry accepted display conditions
The Quality : The quality of the giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes however the permanence of a Giclee print is on average twice as long as a traditional photographic print. Giclee prints are now commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.
